Makabe Hiroshi, a science and invention enthusiast, was all set to move into an apartment owned by his childhood friend Youko's parents. Despite rumors of a ghostly presence in the room, the incredibly low rent was too tempting to pass up. Once settled in, Hiroshi started prepping for a party with Kotobuki, Youko's older brother. In the midst of their preparations, the machine parts strewn across the floor suddenly short-circuited and exploded, blasting a hole right through the floor. To their surprise, they discovered a mysterious jar hidden in the debris. Out of the jar emerged a stunning blonde snow fairy named Ruri. Just like that, Hiroshi found himself unexpectedly sharing his new home with the enchanting Ruri, marking the beginning of their unique cohabitation.
