In a world where the art of sword-fighting is mastered by two distinct tribes, the Tribes of Light and Shadow, an epic tale unfolds. The Tribes of Light, comprised of humans dwelling on the surface, contrast sharply with the Shadow tribe, a mix of part-humans, part-animals, and monsters residing in an underground city. Interestingly, members of the Shadow tribe age at half the rate of their Light counterparts. For years, these tribes coexisted peacefully, their territories divided by the enigmatic Words Worth tablet—a colossal monolith erected by a guardian spirit. Despite the inscriptions on the tablet, neither tribe could decipher its mysterious text.
Tragedy struck when the Words Worth tablet was suddenly destroyed by an unknown force, its fragments scattered across the Shadow tribe's domain. Accusations flew, and both tribes pointed fingers at each other, igniting a bitter war that has raged for a century.
Amidst this chaos, Astral, the prince of the Shadow tribe, yearns to become a Swordsman of Shadow. However, his ambitions are thwarted by his father, King Wortoshika, who strictly forbids him from pursuing this path. Engaged to the stunning swordswoman Sharon, Astral finds himself in a complicated situation. While Sharon generally admires him, she secretly wishes he were stronger and more capable in battle.
