Makabe Hiroshi, a science and invention enthusiast, was all set to move into an apartment owned by his childhood friend Youko's parents. Despite rumors of a ghostly presence, the incredibly low rent convinced him to take the plunge. As he settled in and prepared for a party with Youko's older brother, Kotobuki, disaster struck.
