In the waning days of Japan's Shogunate era, the Shinobi find themselves pushed into the shadows, surviving as underground contract assassins. Among them is Karyuu, a skilled female Shinobi who leverages her exceptional combat skills and captivating allure to execute her deadly assignments.
On one fateful night, Karyuu infiltrates a residence with the intent to eliminate her target. To her surprise, she finds him engaged in flirtation with a maidservant. As she moves in for the kill, her strike is intercepted by the maid, who reveals herself as another assassin named Uzume. In a shocking turn of events, Uzume swiftly completes her own mission, executing the man right before Karyuu's astonished eyes.
